Host Comedian - Jonathan Elston

Jonathan Elston is a fresh, punchy, gag-driven comic who combines sharp joke writing and quirky observations with a youthful likability that charms his audience and endears him to any room. However as with many top comics, success means is Jonathan rarely to be found out of a coach or car. The carbon footprint that Jonathan has created since his career began is big enough to have destroyed a football pitch sized hole in the Brazilian rainforest! Despite the havoc he is wreaking on the rainforests, Jonathan is steadfast in his focus and continues to be one of the most sought after young acts working the circuit.

A former winner of the prestigious Funny Women Award, Suzy is a dynamo of a comic, with a uniquely warm and chatty stage presence which means she is a brilliant MC as well an act. After her appearance on Comedy Idol, Suzy was asked by Jimmy Carr to support him on his "Gag Reflex" tour. In August 2012 she performed at Edinburgh as part of the ‘Comedy Reserve’ at the Pleasance Theatre, one of the most prestigious showcases for up and coming comics.

HIND HOTEL LOCAL ISSUES Q & A EVENT

The Hind Hotel will host a Q & A on 23rd April 2013, - start
time 7.30pm.

The main political parties vying for your vote in the forthcoming local
elections are attending.

Operations Director of the hotel, Shasha Khan will be chairing the event.

Commenting on the event, Mr Khan said, “Our local customers,
especially in the main bar, are never shy about asserting their point of view.
Given the Hind Hotel’s position in political history I feel it is appropriate
for the hotel to host a Q & A event of this nature.”

He won the Time Out's Critics Choice for Sunspots.

Nick has won several awards, including the Polo Mint Comedy Award, voted by fellow comedians and club owners in England, and Best International Act in San Francisco.

Stand-up, presenter, actor and compere, Quincy hosts his own live chat show, is a TV warm-up (BBC's Blouse and Skirts) and has presented on BBC1 Xtra and Klymaxx FM. As well as performing in all the top UK comedy club venues, Quincy also tours in large-scale venues all over the UK and as a stand-up and in sketch shows including United Colours of Comedy at the Hackney Empire and Big Sister at The Oval Theatre, The Hackney Empire and Stratford East Theatre. He has performed in large-scale venues around the country with John Simmit and Jocelyn Gee and is currently working on a sitcom.

Belfast boy Ryan McDonnell is no stranger to laughs in his home town and is currently building up quite a reputation for himself on the UK comedy circuit. Ryan interjects a sharp wit and Irish charm in his observation of everyday life. Sometimes bizarre, often dark he’ll guide you on a unique journey through the world as he sees it.
2010 saw Ryan make his debut at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in the prestigious Pleasance Courtyard from which critics at Three Weeks acclaimed his stand-up as “Apollo quality live comedy”.

Paul Garvey hails from Liverpool, is a regular at comedy clubs all over the country including The Comedy Club Ltd, Jongleurs and Highlights plus has a sharp eye for observational humour. Major corporate clients such as SONY, Manchester Utd, Vodaphone, HSBC, British Airways and has successfully played all the arenas as support for Michael Buble including MEN, TELEWEST, NIA, and 3 nights at the Hammersmith Apollo on his UK tour, receiving great reviews. His favourite 'gig' to date was going to war-torn Bosnia some years back to entertain over 10,000 UN troops on a 10 date tour.

Actress, comedian and writer Laura Lexx was a 2009 finalist at both the Chortle and Paramount Student comedy awards and appears regularly at top London clubs as well as performing across the wider UK circuit. 2009 saw her appearing at The Malcolm Hardee Awards alongside comedians Simon Munnery, Janey Godley, Richard Herring and other top names at the Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh

As one of the up and coming names in stand-up comedy she is one to look out for on the scene. Developing a uniquely gleeful style, she's a strong writer with the capacity to deal with any size crowd.
