Host Comedian – Maureen Younger

“Maureen Younger, New Act of The Year contestant whose sharp self effacing humour brings interesting new perspectives to the stage” (Hackney Empire)

Maureen is a regular guest panelist on the Tessa Dunlop show on BBC Radio London and also reviewed the newspapers for the Lesley & Biggins morning show for BBC Radio London. She also appears as a guest panelist on Radio 5 Live for presenters Phil Williams and Richard Bacon. She has also reviewed the newspapers for Sky News. Having previously lived in Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Russia and the Ukraine, Maureen speaks several languages fluently and has performed bi-lingual warm up as part of a prize-winning, groundbreaking radio drama season The Works. She has also presented her own weekly music show on Break FM, where she was able to relive her former years as an 80s soul girl.

A Natural Comic – Adam Bloom

Adam having previously served 5 years in The Royal Navy started stand - up comedy in November 2010 winning Mr Bens gong show on his debut. Within his first 2 years Adam racked up 350 plus gigs performing all over the UK from Edinburgh to Exeter. Sharing the stage with some of the biggest names on the circuit Adam quickly established himself as a solid up & coming act and a very promising MC. His set consists of stories & cheeky anecdotes about his time in the Military hopefully paving the way for a career in corporate & military gigs.

Headline Comedian – Stefano Paolini

'So You Think You're Funny' award (C4) BBC's 'New Comedy Award'

Runner-up in Channel 4's 'So You Think You're Funny' award and in BBC's 'New Comedy Award' , impressionist and beat boxer Stefano Paolini is now a regular headliner on the UK comedy circuit.

He has provided voices for Channel 4's animated series 'Bromwell High', BBC 2's 'Double Take' and on Radio 4's 'Dead Ringers', and made his Edinburgh debut with the one man show 'Britalian', about his half-English, half-Italian heritage way back in 2005.

A remarkable repertoire of voices and sounds has seen him perform in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Singapore, Germany, Malta, France and Italy.

Starters

Tiger prawn and chorizo skewers

Plump tiger prawns with smoked paprika infused sausage on a roquette and parmesan salad with fresh ailoi

Smoked salmon and cream cheese roulades

Smoked salmon with caper and dill infused cheese in a soft flour tortilla with a light cucumber and watercress salad and a honey and citrus dressing.

Roasted red pepper tomato and chilli soup

A rich rustic homemade soup with just a hint of chilli served with warm herb and black olive foccia bread.

Chicken liver and brandy pate

Locally produced pate on a bed of spinach and cherry tomatoes with homemade red onion chutney and warm foccia toasts.

Mains

Pan seared Lamb cutlets

Tender lamb cutlets accompanied by creamy Dauphinois potatoes with orange glazed baby carrots and mint roasted courgettes drizzled in a rich red wine jus.

Cherry glazed duck breast

Crispy pan fried whole duck breast on a bed of spring onion and creamed potatoes with flashed fried mange tout, baby corn, red pepper and a black cherry jus.

Slow roasted sirloin of beef

Gently cooked beef with hand-cut rustic chips and oven baked red onion and vine tomatoes with a pink peppercorn and wild mushroom cream.

Asparagus and goats cheese tartlets

Creamy goats cheese and caramelised red onion in a crumbly pastry case with fresh asparagus tips, served with thyme buttered new potatoes and a red chard and beetroot salad

Deserts

Devils chocolate fudge cake

A rich and indulgent double chocolate fudge cake topped with vanilla bean ice cream and drizzled with raspberry coulis.

Bramley apple and poached pear tartlet

Tender slices of apples and pears in a soft pasty case with a honey and cinnamon dressing and served with crème anglaise.

White chocolate, cheese cake.

A light and creamy cheese cake served with grated white chocolate, mandarin coulis and amoretti biscuits.

Strawberry, melon and pomegranate salad

Juicy pieces of strawberry and melon with a generous scoop of mint ice cream sprinkled with pomegranate seeds and served with Rossini curls.

A fresh face on the London scene, TJ first started performing comedy in New Zealand in 2004. Before leaving the country, he was a regular MC and headliner at both The Classic comedy club in Auckland and the Fringe Bar comedy club in Wellington. Now – like a low pressure system – he’s here to take the UK by storm!

Smart, engaging and charismatic, Hubert is a hit" Brixton Dogstar 2011, London Is Funny

Andrea Hubert started comedy in late 2009, and within 20 gigs gained second place in a national competition. She’s since performed alongside some of the UK’s best comedians at prestigious comedy clubs all over the UK, been commissioned as a writer for a BBC pilot and was shortlisted for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum at the New York Television Festival 2012.  She was dubbed “One to Watch in 2012” by London is Funny, for whom she wrote a comedy poetry blog in 2012.

Voted comics favorite comedian

Original and versatile. He appeals to all ages, genders, race and nationalities and has the ability to capture different aspects of everyday life and twist it into his own brand of comedy. He was born in South London, England of Jamaican parentage.

Slim first performed in 1993 at the Hackney Empire in front of an audience of 1,500 people. Since then he has appeared in every major city in England and Wales ranging from Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham, Liverpool and Cardiff, these are just a few of many.

He also has experience internationally touring in Europe, The Caribbean and the U.S.A.

Host Comedian – Pete Dobbing

New Act of the Year Finalist 2014, So you Think You’re Funny finalist 2010

Abandoned by his mother and father, Pete Dobbing was raised by wild audiences. A decade as an international street performer eventually led him to stand up comedy, where he brings unnecessary levels of enthusiasm and an unusual perspective on savory goods.

Pete’s jovial personality and keen sense of the audience makes him an excellent compere, with a knack for making everything entertaining.

Opening Comedian – Matthew Osborn

‘So you think you’re funny Winner’

Matthew is a hugely talented stand-up who started on the circuit in 2002 and went on to win ‘So You Think you’re Funny’ the same year. In 2003 was named chortle Best Newcomer. Since then he has performed on the UK circuit and abroad in France, Belgium and Monaco. As well as supporting Harry Hill and Al Murray and appearing as part of The Comedy Zone at the Edinburgh festival.

Headline Comedian – James Redmond

James Redmond is a dry, slick and subtle stand up who delivers unexpected twists and turns during his set as he deconstructs his art. He has a track record as a model and actor and is best known for seminal roles in ‘Hollyoaks’ (C4) and ‘Casualty’ (BBC 1) as well as having presented CD UK alongside Cat Deeley and appeared as a guest on ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ (BBC 2), Celebrity Who wants to be a Millionaire; (ITV 1) and ‘Soccer AM’ (Sky 1). James is currently filming for Coronation Street, playing Hamish the new love interest of Michelle Conner.

Tania Edwards is a stand - up comic (BBC1, Radio 4) and writer (her writing credits include Stand Up For The Week (Channel 4), Twit of the Year (Channel 4), Mock the Week (BBC 2) and The Unbelievable Truth (BBC Radio 4). She was a finalist in the Hackney Empire, Amused Moose, Leicester Square, Latitude Festival and Funny Women competitions. She is currently working on her new stand up show Tania Edwards: Never Rong.
