In the book 'A History of Wellingborough from Roman Times to the Present Day' by Palmer and Palmer, the Hind Hotel is described as the social and cultural hub of Wellingborough. The hotel continues to maintain this tradition.
On 16th April, at 7:30pm the Hind Hotel will be hosting it's latest Question Time style event entitled, 'A Question On Europe'.
Operations Director, Shasha Khan said, "On May 22nd, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and the country goes to the polls to elect Members of the European Parliament. It is important that we, the electorate, are clear how decisions taken in Brussels affect us, how our MEPs vote in parliament, and how then we can make a difference by using our vote. Everyone is welcome to A Question on Europe"
Representatives from the different political parties have been invited to sit on the panel that will answer questions from the audience.
He continued, "Five years ago we held a similar event which was lively and informative. I remember a disagreement between the candidates on whether the EU has kept the peace in Europe since the second world war."
