WELLINGBOROUGH MAYOR OFFICIALLY RE-OPENS GEORGIAN ROOMS AT THE HIND HOTEL
Mayor Bhupendra Patel officially re-opened the Georgian Rooms on Friday evening (28th October 2011). Before cutting the ribbon Mayor Patel advised those attending that the Hind Hotel dated back to the seventeenth century and that probably the most fascinating historical feature is the hidden Priest Hole in the Cromwell Room.
Commenting on the £20,000 refurbishment, Operations Director Shasha Khan said:
"A big thank you to everyone invloved in this amazing transformation. The results are stunning and worth every penny!
He went on to say:
"Nearly everyone in the town has come to the Hind for a meeting, wedding or Christmas party sometime in their life. This refurbishment preserves the landmark status of the hotel and I hope will ensure locals will continue to use the Hind for all their social events."
